中秋節將至，各區里舉辦的聯歡會，向來是基層重要的年度活動之一。今年登革熱疫情嚴峻，人群聚集易引來蚊子叮咬，增加群聚感染機率，不少基層里長、社區理事長紛紛反映，希望市府針對辦不辦中秋活動給個說法。

民進黨議員陳怡珍說，近日不少里長都接到市府來電，指中秋節活動是否應該停辦？請里長們審慎思考。但面對登革熱疫情延燒及里民期待中秋節活動的熱情，讓不少里長陷入兩難。國民黨議員王家貞也認為，許多民眾及里長都很關心此事，鑑於時間急迫，民政局有必要明確決定。
